I think I am going to pick up a reciever tomorrow. I am inbetween on both of these recievers and have done a comparison between the two. After reading through some early reviews off of AVS I have heard of one over heating and dieing within the first 30 days, and just the basic new kid on the block connection issues. I like the fact the Yamaha is a 7.1 as it gives a few more options. By looking over my equipment that is all set up by HDMI connections, which one is the better of the two for my soon to be setup? I like the connection bindings on the Pioneer, but like all of the features on the Yamaha, but the Yamaha I feel is alittle less "sexy" thank the Pioneer. Please help
