USA HDMI 1.4 Receivers

Is anybody waiting for Hdmi 1.4 receiver to buy. This comes with 4k2k resolution
and the sound is still the same unless they come up with new formats from Dolby and DTS?

Not sure if it has been resolved, but there was a valid issue of backward compatibility with current version 1.3 cables/equipment. Backward compatibility is a significant piece of the pie for consumers.

Can anyone shed a more clear light on this, please?

I can't see how it will be fully compatable with 1.3 cables considering 1.4 carries Ethernet signals through them along with audio and video where as 1.3 spec definately will not do this...

Also, HDMI 1.4 will make use of a smaller 19-pin connector
