The easiest way would be to transfer the file from your computer to the PS3 with a thumb drive, external drive, or something like that.
You might first want to try backing up another PS3 save file to the thumb (or other) drive first, so that when you plug it into your computer you will see what, if any, file structure the PS3 will ultimately be looking for when you go to recover the new save file, and then you can duplicate that when you move the save file from the computer to the thumb drive. |

Get a memory stick or whatever media you have that the PS3 will recognise.
In uppercase create a directory structure PS3/GAMES Put the file on the card in the games dir. Put card into PS3 Go to the games column and scroll to the memory card, show all scroll to the GAMES DIR press triangle on the game save and select copy. That is it from what I can recall. The instructions should be on the game save website somewhere. |

I'm not sure why people keep saying that you have to have the folder structure a specific way for the PS3 to recognize it.
I have many folders on my external HD and I have them just labeled my videos or whatever. And it reads everything in there. Might not PLAY everything due to codecs or whatever, but it shows all in there. Same with music and whatnot. I just hit TRIANGLE/DISPLAY ALL and voila. Never had to do that PS3/VIDEO structure or whatever. Maybe when dealing with gamesave data and that kinda thing, but just for your videos...nah. |

I know that you must create a folder called "PS3" all caps, then create another folder within that folder under the title that it will be saved under, for example music would be "MUSIC" all caps. I don't know how many folders w/i folder you will need to create, but that is how i do it on mine.
If i want themes from my pc, I would have a "THEMES" folder w/i my "PS3" folder |

I don't know why this has been put out there but you absolutely do not need to do that, unless you're working with gamesaves or ps3 data. With Music and videos, you don't need to create a ps3 folder and have everything in caps and whatever. Don't know about themes, as I don't mess with themes except for some I've gotten from the PSN store. This is the format my folders are in: ![]() |

There's your files. That works no matter what the file structure is for videos/music But make sure you're under the right tab. Can't play music files under the video tab, even though you can access the music folder on HD under that tab. |

Are you searching the device under Games -> Saves from the XMB? If you try to find them while you're under 'Music' or 'Video' or whatever, they won't show up.

Yea, I am. It recognizes the USB drive but then it show no info when i triangle it. I know it may not be possible but could someone from here go to the site I link above, download a game save, and try to get it on your ps3 and tell me exactly how you did it step by step. It would be very appreciated by me.

Unzip the save game. I think it will be multiple files contained within a folder, with a goofy title like "BLUS30109G485365C5" for example. Copy that entire folder and its contents into the SAVEDATA folder on your external drive. Connect the drive to the PS3. On the XMB, go Game -> Saved Data Utility -> your external drive. Save game should be there. Then you can push 'Triangle' and copy the file to your PS3's HDD. |

I actually just found out that game saves don't work any longer because of trophy support. Can anyone confirm? That sucks major. |
