What is this gold box on Amazon that I keep hearing people refer to? Also, is it worth it to be a Prime Member?

I don't shop Amazon often because I like the "instant gratification" of picking up a movie at the store, but if it really saves you money, then I may consider it.

Just log in at Amazon. Click on Today's Deals at the top of the screen and there's your Gold Box. It changes daily and there are lightning deals during the day.

No idea about Prime. I guess it depends how much you intend to use it.

If you like instant gratification then getting Prime on Amazon may be useful. It will cost you $79 per year but items marked as Prime eligible will ship in 2 days for free. Plus no minimum order $ value for an order to get free shipping (slower shipping option). Guess it depends on how much you will order per year versus the amount of time you are willing to wait for your order versus the shipping costs to get it fast without having Prime. It will vary from person to person so only you can decide that.
