Default Costco excludes DVD players from returns?

Those of us who buy at Costco know they have a very long-range return policy.

Now I am hearing rumors that, in an effort to stem huge losses if HD-DVD loses, Costco has changed their return policy on DVD players (HD-DVD). Instead of having a longer return time, you have 30 to 90 days to return?

Can anyone verify this?

Seems that they caught wind that many are buying HD-DVD from them and planning to return them later, should the format go south.

It's always been that way for computers and I believe they changed it to include tvs and a few other products as well. I don't recall it including dvd players but it wouldn't surprise me since they have to know it's going to happen no matter which way the format war goes.

Yes, depends on the Costco. Mine sells a BR player, but no HD-DVD player, and no HD titles at all!

I think it depends on the location. I seem to remember hearing people say their Costco had HD DVD players but mine hasn't had players or movies in either format.
