Motorstorm update issue

Did a little oopsie the other day, going through the PS3 store and noticed an update for motorstorm. Clicked to download before fully reading the spiel that came with it that suggested I go into motorstorm first and mess around with some of the settings or update the game etc.
Anyway, as soon as it downloaded it installed. Popped the Disk in and now it seems the game hangs on a black screen after the PS3 logo comes up.

Any suggestions?

Just delete the patched Motostorm game profile, insert the game disc and build a new game profile.

Here is a step by step guide as I did the same thing lol.
In the XMB, go to game, then right to the top to 'Game data Utility.'
Delete the motorstorm picture (It wont delete your saved game). Start up Motorstorm and update it online. Then go back out and get the Time trial update from the store.

cool, all resolved, didn;t want to delete those things initially since the download date was shown as sometime in April or may, the patch probablly added to that file.
