Default Toshiba 40XV645U help

If anyone has this tv or knows about it, I could use some help. I am new to the HD scene and can't seem to figure out the settings. The pic is just to black. Also is it better to have it on smooth motion or standard? thanks

Default Will post settings soon...

As for motion processing I use smooth for blu-ray discs and standard for everything else. I have found the Toshiba feature to be much more mild than the competitors and far less of a soap opera effect. Leave the Clear Scan feature on.
