I was surprised how much I enjoyed the V serieses (there's like 3 of them). Maybe with the V remake coming, the older ones will be out on blu.

tough choice between stargate and star trek, went with stargate as it holds greater fun factor, for epic story in spite of bad acting i would choose babylon 5.

Star Wars for me, just no contest. But I do really like the Stargate and Battlestar Galactica series.

Not certain on the new Stargate though. Lou Diamond Phillips can definitely be hit or miss.

Movies: Star Wars all the way!!

T.V: Lost ( I don't if it is "true" sci-fi show but it has several elements of science fiction so I qualify it )

Although it has become fashionable to hate Star Wars, I would be lying if I voted for anything else. No movie or movies have had such a profound impact on me as a person and that's true of many, many others in my generation.

when you state it as franchise then i have to go with star trek. As it has the most # of movies and the most # of tv shows and stil lseems to be going strong.

Really gotta wonder why you would put fringe or dollhouse in the poll (no offense). They are relatively new and i wouldn't exactly call them a franchise.

For me, Trek is an easy choice. Not only does TOS pre-date the other offerings, the latest film is good reboot--certainly better than the Star Wars prequels. In short, Trek has been able to transcend multiple generations. Whereas, the other choices are more niche offerings.

If Lucas hadn't destroyed his original trilogy with his second one, it would be a closer call. Even still, I am not sure that I would classify Star Wars as science fiction to begin with.

Star Wars, Star Trek, and V. No interest in the others listed.

Alien and Aliens have my vote.

I do enjoy a lot of these but nothing tops that 1 2 combo(except maybe T1 and T2)...
