Hey guys, I have been an iPhone user for a year now, and with the new 3.0 software upgrade, I was pretty excited to start using the stereo bluetooth. I bought the Motorola S9 HD headset, which sounds great... But the problem is that when I'm playing music through bluetooth, the songs are constantly skipping and sometimes even slowing down. Its really weird.
I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this. I turned off Wi-fi and 3g, just in case the phone was receiving info and causing the skip, but that didn't help. Is stereo bluetooth just not quite ready yet? Is it an iPhone/iPod software issue? Is it global warming interrupting my wireless signal? Any help would be appreciated, the headphones were $100, so if I can't get a steady signal from my phone, I'm going to return them. Thanks. Dan |

Not that it helps but you are not the first person I have heard about having music issues after updating to the new OS. One sugestion that I do have is you may have restored your phone from a back up. Whn u go to iTunes and restore your phone have, it delet everything and set it up like a new phone. Sorry for the run on sentence and the typos. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input, onyx. Actually, I did do a full restore for the 3.0 upgrade, so its all fresh. The music plays just fine through the phone's speakers, and works fine using an adapter through a receiver. Thats why I'm wondering if the bluetooth technology isn't ready for wireless stereo, the headsets are not up to par, or maybe Apple just isn't doing it right. The S9 HD headphones really do sound awesome, but its frustrating to have songs skip like its an old CD player.
I'm going to try calling Apple tonight, but I wanted to check with the blu boys first to see if you had any ideas. |

If you do a complete restore, it will be just like the day you bought it, you will lose contacts. Doing the upgrade from v2.2 will keep your info. I don't know for sure, but I don't think iPhones store contact info on the SIM card, so even a restore without the SIM would wipe it clean.

I have done a restore with my phone for the 3.0 upgrade. i use a windows machine and have my contacts done in outlook and that sync's to the iphone. after the restore, i told the phone to do the back-up from my profile with the name i had given my phone. that profile states where my contact info is stored on the computer and sync's it automatically. if you don't use outlook, the full program like i do and you are using a windows machine it will have outlook express and you should put your contacts their and it too will sync with itunes for your phone. if you use a mac, whatever program they have for your contacts i'm sure it will sync with the phone via itunes. i never lost a contact, picture, song, movie or anything after doing a restore. i have had 2 iphones and have done a restore with both of them and have never lost anything i originally had on the phone.
