Samsara

Saw the link for it at the bottom of the wiki for Baraka. First I've ever heard of it.

Will be filmed in 65mm Panavision!! Samsara roughly translates to "cyclic existence" according to the article.

I loved Baraka. I'm just upset that I have the original cardboard case and not the plastic one that they now have.

awesome, can't wait.

mike I bought the same case but later on I bought some replacement cases and just cut the art out and use the new regular style case. I bought the cases to put used blockbuster blus in.

This is true. I ordered it right after release from Amazon and spent well over the $15.99. Glad I did. It's a moving, thought provoking, emotional film.

Yep. I just received HOME from Amazon today...very eager to watch that.

I often choose Baraka as my all-time favourite film so I'm looking forward to Samsara more than any other movie. Unfortunately fewer and fewer theatres are able to run 70mm and when Baraka was in a limited 35mm release those prints were scratched all to hell. The Blu-ray of Baraka is great and all but there's nothing like seeing it 50' wide in 70mm.

IF Samsara is released in Imax theaters I hope it's presented properly - from film. I'd hate to see it compressed all to hell in one of those digital Imax theaters.

Baraka was SIICK! I almost always hate documentaries about the earth and stuff like that but wow... this blew me away.

Really looking forward to Samsara! I'll definitely go to an IMAX presentation - if it is done properly. Either way, this movie should be stunning.

Does that work well? Isn't the cardboard case a bit too thick for that? I hate the cardboard case, so instead of putting it in line with the rest of my BDs, I just lay it across the top, so there's no pressure on it.
