Default Has Anyone Bought The School's Out 180 Gram Reissue

This classic Alice Cooper LP was reissued on June 2nd. Has anyone heard it? I'm very familiar with the music as I once owned an original of it. (lost in the sands of time). I'd like to get some input about sound quality, etc.

Hope I didn't miss a discussion about this record in another thead.

I picked it up and gave it a listen. My only other frame of reference is the original CD. It sounds light years better than that obviously. It is very clear and well defined. Some of the effects used on the album have more presence now, and don't get so lost in the mix. It's absolutely worth the money, even if you already own it on vinyl. The package and the 180 gram disc are solid.

Very grateful for your reply. I had been scouring the used vinyl bins in the last few weeks hoping to find an original pressing, but came up empty. All the other Alice Cooper vinyl that I did find was in wretched condition too.

I read the reviews of the CD version that were posted on Amazon and many people complained that version was poor. Naturally I didn't want to spring for the reissue vinyl if the result wasn't markedly improved. Think I'll go ahead and buy it now.

Enjoy. Just to let you know, this is just the first in a series of 180g Alice Cooper releases, according to the sleeve. No release dates yet.

Have it here as well... sounds great!

Was disappointed with the cover art package though as it does not open up like the original into a school desk.

I just picked it up a BestBuy about 2 hours ago. I think you're right. I seem to remember the original opened like a school desk lid. Hmm. I'm waiting until a bit later this evening. Cold intoxicant in hand, Alice Cooper on the spinner. Ahh, the memories will come flooding back!

Worth it for the sound though Can now preserve my original copy's package and just play the reissue!
