Well when you don't want to answer the question at hand... talk about something else, I guess.

I would buy Thriller on Blu-ray 3.0. This would be a terrific way to launch BD 3.0. Ah heck, throw in Pink Floyd's The Wall too.

It's really sad and all about MJ's death, but I hope that there is new music somewhere that the family will release.

Watching that just sickened me. That man has no love for his family, just the money they bring to him.

Saying that, MJ on Blu would be great.

Maybe that's his way of handling a tough situation. In any case, Definitely not the right time to plug anything.

Why stop at 3.0, why not 5.1?

I looked up the Thriller SACD, and decided against the purchase when I saw it was not Multichannel.

Blu-ray profile 3.0 is supposed to be the audio only profile for high end lossless audio (I believe). BD 3.0 should include mulit-channel too. You know with Blu-ray profile 2.0 we got BD-Live. That is what I mean.

A funny story: I upgraded my BD player to the Oppo a month ago. Oppo plays SACD and DVD Audio in addition to a bunch of other media formats. Last Tuesday I purchased Thriller on SACD (knowing that it was not multi-channel). I also purchased a Pat Metheny and Pink Floyd SACD and DVD Audio (just to learn about the technology). It does sound very good and it's too bad that SACD and DVD-A are dead technology. I am hoping however that BD profile 3.0 replaces this tech.

Anyway I paid $14.95 for the Thriller SACD. The day after MJ died someone was selling it for $450 and the same dealer I purchased my copy from was selling it for triple the price I paid for it. Obviously the SACD of Thriller is out of print.

While Joe Jackson obviously doesnt give a shit that his son died, (BET/CNN interview) it was interesting how his partner mentioned blu-ray. I have Thriller on SACD and it sounds much better than the CD, but a Blu release of the Thriller album would probably sound amazing.

And now this blu-ray rehearsal rumor...should be interesting...

Just watched the video:

Mr Jackson - "I want to make this statement, this is a real good statement here. Marshal (Mr Jackson's friend? - who was standing next to Mr Jackson) and I, we own the record company.. Ranch Records [I might have miss heard that name].. (cannot make out the word) blu ray technology, and that is the next step."

Hmm.. seems like there will be something released on blu-ray!!

I downloaded the video from youtube with Realplayer. I could try email to someone if they want it? Though I think there might still be a problem viewing it in the copyright zone?

I saw the interview he did and it seemed to me that he was plugging Blu ray saying that the BDA had some money or something put into his record label. Dont know because as always Joe was rambling on and on about Michael and so fourth.

Default Michael Jackson on BLU?

In a recent interview CNN talked to Joe Jackson (Michaels Father) and he confirmed that the next level for Micheal Jackson is BLU RAY. What do you guys think they will release, Ive heard maybe his final concert rehearsal. A collection of all videos would be awesome. R.I.P King of Pop

There was a thread started on this earlier

Mr Jackson didnt give much away in the interview. The video was removed from youtube I believe for US users.
