United Kingdom Glastonbury Festival - Blu-ray?

Anyone know if the BBC will release this year's Glastonbury highlights on blu-ray? Blur looked great last night on their HD channel, as did The Prodigy! Festivals like this look great in HD. Would love to see it released!

Dunno but I thought I've been ripping the DVB signal and it looks great. Loved Neil Young and Friendly Fires.

Not sure I'd go for a Bluray as they'd employ a few too many edits.

Friendly Fires' 'Paris' sounded great live, as did Kasabian's great new song: 'Fire'

I don't think the BBC own the content, they can stream it from their websites (you can watch their festival vids going back a couple of years) but I don't think it is theirs to release for sale.

Yeah 'Fire' was great!

Too many edits? As in editing out foul mouthed artists? I duno, what we saw was edited for tv sure, but they would have recored the entire sets for Blur Kasabian etc.. They could easily compile all the best sets from the weekend and put them on to a disc. Would be cool!

I cant recored BBC HD here in Ireland because it is not on Sky's EPG. Really annoying, can only view it in the "other channel" section (in which sky+ feature doesn’t work)

They've got so much material, all in HD, and some of it won't have been shown on HD and some not shown at all. While it's great that the sets are all available on the BBC website, it is a pain that they can't be viewed in HD.

I think there is a series of "best of" programmes coming out over the next week or so, maybe they will show complete sets?

I would love to see the Pendulum set in HD, they were stunning!!

Whoever owns the content it would be great to see it on BD.

We'll simply have to wait and see, I guess...
