I went to Movie Stop the other day and the employee mentioned that in their system it showed Transformers 2 coming out October 13th, not sure how legit that is as it seems like a fast turn around but I guess you never know. Although, a November release date seems more probable.

A lot of critics already don't like the sequel. I watched this movie to be entertained and Michael Bay did not disappoint. Sound effects and visual is really awesome. Wish IMAX will bring the price down a little bit.

sounds about right....i'd expect all of the big summer movies up to and including harry potter to be out before xmas.

MovieStop had Oct. 20 when I went last week to reserve it. Hi-Def Release List is showing Nov. 10th. I am sure it will be around the late October early November timeframe. LOTR trilogy and Transformers 2 it is going to be a great November

Here's hoping for an October release date. I haven't even seen the movie yet, but I'm sure I'll buy it and the sooner the better. lol.

I won't get excited until it's official.

Remember, this is from the same bunch that announced they would be HD-DVDead exclusive shortly before the release of the first TF. Perhaps they'll be announcing digital download exclusive in the next couple of weeks.

It is pretty much a given anymore that all of the major summer blockbusters will be on DVD/BD in time for the holiday shopping season. Q4, accounts for a significant portion of yearly revenue in the home video market.

So, the big question is which one is going to sell more, Star Trek, Transformers or the by-far best film this year Up and do any of them have a chance of unseating TDK as the biggest selling title on the BD format.

I'm getting it on on Blu. The special effects were excellent while the story was not that great.

I'd say late November. October is way too soon. That's 3 months away lol...The movie will be in the theatre for at least another month.

well October is not completely unlikely if you remember the first Transformers movie was released I think end of June or over the 4th of July weekend and it was released on DVD and HD DVD in October. So who knows but I am hoping for a mid October early November release.
