The bare wire looks good to me.Pleanty of wire is showing in your picture so it doesnt look as if a lot or any of the wiring came off with the outer insulation.
So as long as you get the outer"skin" off and no more then a strand or 2 are still in the stripped skin then your work is fine. Its hard to tell for 100% sure with the smaller pic but it does look correct to me. |

They look fine. when you hook them up make sure you have the red terminal on the speaker hooked to the red terminal on the receiver (and black to black of course).
There should be a marking on one side of the speaker wire to make it easy to determine what side is what when making the connection. It does not matter what terminal the side with the marking is connected to - as long as it is the same color terminal on both ends..... Michael |

I'm sure they will work fine although you don't want to twist the wires after you strip them, all the strands should stay in their natural lay. I prefer thermal strippers for stripping wires but the mechanical tools do the job fine. You need to be sure the cutter is at the poper gauge, you don't want to cut ant strands or leave tool marks. Once you make the cut you gently pull off the inuslations twisting in the direction the strands are twisted.
