A long, glorious day - Blu-ray Forum

I have a grand-daughter visiting this week and today, my wife, grand-daughter, and three other grand-daughters are on their way to spend the day and evening at Disneyland. If I went along, there were too many for the car. So, I had to stay home.

To those of you who are single, you truly can't grasp what this means to those of us who are married and love watching Blus with the volume set to really enjoy and FEEL the movie. Don't get me wrong, my wife also loves watching but just not at the intensity that I do. When left alone, there is a sense of freedom knowing that the volume can be raised so that the couch vibrates and moves as the depth charges explode in U-571 or the first volley has been exchanged in Master and Commander.

It is 7:39 am. I am setting in my office, pouring over all the Blus, stacking them in order that the should be watched, getting out the micro wave pop corn, Diet Coke, closing the blinds, darkening the room, closing the windows. Damn, it is going to be along, glorious day.

Enjoy it Jim...enjoy it....we don't get too many days like this but when we do you have to take full advantage of it...

I'm not married, but I get a similar feeling whenever my upstairs neighbor isnt around. The guy is in the Navy, and went away for 9 months. Let me tell you, those nine months, I cranked up the volume on everything with a volume knob to their highest levels. Playing games and watching Blus was a whole new experience. Then the guy had to come back.

I just had one of these kinds of days, except it was overnight into the next day. And the feeling of that first minute of freedom is the most relaxing minute I had in a very long time. I did the same thing you did, and before I knew it, it was over
