When will Sony/Columbia Tristar release Desperado

2 reasons

1: Salma Hayek 1080P

2: Uncompressed PCM

I work at Sears and the tvs there show Desperado clips in the advertisement for Blu-Ray...so I dunno why it hasn't been released already...then again, it shows clips of Spider-man too...

Decided to bump this thread, as 2010 would be a great year to finally see it released! Maybe? Here's hoping....

There was a recent update from Robert Rodriguez saying he was working on the Mariachi Trilogy for Blu-ray with a planned release date sometime in 2010. So El Mariachi, Desperado, and Once Upon A Time In Mexico should be on their way sooner rather than later.

I'd personally rather have an El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico box set.

I'm just hoping that Rodriguez can make a new cut of the film with all the bits of violence that got trimmed at the request by the MPAA - he talks about the missing bits on the commentary track on the DVD.
