Up to you if you don't want the keyboard.

I'm due for an upgrade in October so I will see what's out then. If the G1 is cheap I might jump on it because I've heard ti rocks with the new OS.

I have T-Mobile, but I think I'll stick with my unlocked iPhone 3G. Companies have been trying for a while to find an iPhone killer, but it doesn't look like its gonna happen anytime soon...

There are plenty of phones I would take over an iPhone anyday. Some are older phones too.

yeah I haven't found a phone with as much freedom as the Iphone most companies keep their phones locked down pretty tight where with the Iphone if you want a fart app go dled it. I do love the EnV keyboard if they made an Iphone with that I'd pay as much as they asked(for the phone) as long as it was under 400 a month for service

until all the companies open the Apps and programs like with the Iphone that will always in my op be the phone to beat.

Android is 100% customizable and the majority of the software and mods for it are open source. In the long run it will be a better product.

For now the iPhone is a great fad.

Xperia 2 ships later this year and having remote play on a cell phone will be awesome.

LOL, I've had the T-Mobile G1 and sold it to get the iPhone 3G! No regrets whatsoever! And before I got the G1 , I had a Blackberry Curve and Pearl. Still no regrets! The iPhone is the best phone I've ever had period!

I'm not talking about the G1, there will be plenty of Android based phones coming.

The Curve and Pearl are crap Blackberries compared to the Bold.

iPhone FTW!!!!!

You really can't find a better PDA. Anybody who doesn't agree must be in denial or hates AT&T, which should not be mentioned since were talking about the phones themselves.

The iPhone is not a PDA. It's a media player with built in phone. The Palm Pre is a PDA.

The OP is looking for a T-Mobile phone. It's expensive to get an unlocked iPhone.

The iPhone is not the end all be all of phones. Unless you are a hipster.

Seriously! I sync with the Exchange Server at my work. I get all of my contacts, calender items, and emails through direct push. Working with the internet, PDFs, and Office documents is easier on the iPhone than any other phone I have ever owned or operated. I would say my iPhone is used for 60% PDA, 35% phone, and 5% media player. I set up T-Mobile and AT&T phones for end users as part of my job, and the iPhone has by far been the best I have worked with. The only one I think even comes close is the G1.

And no I am not an Apple fanboy, I actually loathe their computers. I work in IT and two of our end users own them. It takes me forever just to figure out what should be the simplest things. I probably wouldn't mind them so much if I worked with them everyday like I do PCs....

The myTouch looks nice, I dont see a lot it offers over the G1 though. My boss said he would miss his slide out keyboard, so he didn't even want to upgrade.

Look up these three phones:

Nokia N97
HTC Touch Pro 2
Sony Xperia

Any of those would be better than an iPhone.

Plus you don't have to buy all those apps.

Who is the carrier, what is the OS, do they support Exchange Sync, what apps do you have to buy for an iPhone?

You obviously haven't got the slightest clue about an iPhone.

+1

It is by far the easiest to use for work or play. I have used my "media player" just once or twice for music or movies. It is 90% used for internet purposes.
