There are plenty of phones I would take over an iPhone anyday. Some are older phones too.

Android is 100% customizable and the majority of the software and mods for it are open source. In the long run it will be a better product.
For now the iPhone is a great fad. Xperia 2 ships later this year and having remote play on a cell phone will be awesome. |

The OP is looking for a T-Mobile phone. It's expensive to get an unlocked iPhone. The iPhone is not the end all be all of phones. Unless you are a hipster. |

And no I am not an Apple fanboy, I actually loathe their computers. I work in IT and two of our end users own them. It takes me forever just to figure out what should be the simplest things. I probably wouldn't mind them so much if I worked with them everyday like I do PCs.... The myTouch looks nice, I dont see a lot it offers over the G1 though. My boss said he would miss his slide out keyboard, so he didn't even want to upgrade. |

Who is the carrier, what is the OS, do they support Exchange Sync, what apps do you have to buy for an iPhone?

You obviously haven't got the slightest clue about an iPhone.

It is by far the easiest to use for work or play. I have used my "media player" just once or twice for music or movies. It is 90% used for internet purposes. |
