why when i search the harry potter blus do 2 of each movie show up? the second will say "image coming soon" with no release date. are they being rereleased or is this a glitch?

They were being re-released sometime this month. The release date has been removed from the upcoming releases here, so not sure if they have been canceled or delayed. Amazon has no information regarding them either currently.

They are being rereleased but I'm not sure if there is anything different except the covers.

Re-released, I guess they want to have 2 different cover sets with the last 3 movies coming out in the next 3-4 years.

a rerelease just for different cover art? seems pointless to me. nothing different about the video or audio???

I think they're supposed to have TrueHD Audio instead of PCM. The new covers and that seem to be the only differences. Seems pointless but if you have old receivers that can't do some things with PCM, I guess it's worth looking into.

I dont see the need in rereleasing them again lol there was nothing wrong with them they all got excellent ratings! Just Warner trying to snag more money out of our wallets!

I'm still holding out for one giant complete box set, whenever the last and final film comes out (2012 or something?!).

I hate box sets so im looking to purchase all the harry potter blu's individually

The first harry potter got pretty poor ratings on here for its PQ, claiming its no better than an hd broadcast at best, and really poor in comparison to later films

do you think there is ANY chance the re-release of the first couple will have new encodes?

ive been very selective of my blu ray purchases in regards to PQ

Hey not sure if anyone else picked up on this, but during the WBShop sale I ordered one the movies with the B2G1 promo, but long story short they had a listing for two copies of each movie but the one with no image attached came with movie cash also for the next movie, so maybe look for the new covers in about a week or so since the movie comes out on the 15th.....

I remember reading at one point there was supposed to be an edition with commentary tracks and possible inclusion of the extended tv cuts of the films.

saw them today and it's the same cover and same extras PCM audio. A ticket to see new movie in theater is added.

Are you certain it was the new release version?... The new covers were suppose to have the year printed across the top like this...

yeah, i would think the new covers will look like this. they aren't available yet though, but they do look much nicer than what is out so far

I might well end up getting individuals (since a 8 movie set might be a little unwieldy), but I'm waiting for them all to come out too. I got 1~5 on DVD, but since they were all gifts a couple of them are-- ugh-- "fullscreen". I can deal with it though I guess.

And wow... I don't like the new artwork they got there. Maybe it works for the British, but it just looks amateurish to me. And "Year Four" in big letters on the front is entirely unneeded. If you're going to cater to the unengaged, just retitle it "Harry Potter 4" and be done with it. Sheesh. It's obvious they're trying to standardize the look of the artwork across the sequels, but I really hope they change it by the time they finish up the last one.

i was looking through the wbshop sale thread and these were on the site.....they were listed as having movie cash for the new one too!!!

so i'd almost expect another release of the whole set before deathly hallows comes out on blu!!!
