I want to buy I robot but had rented it on blu a while back. However I couldnt navigate the menu. Where is the play, audio etc options? All I got was a spinning "cube" w pics from the movie.

Hmm I'll have to check it out again. I don't recall having problems navigating, and I almost always check out the audio and subtitle options on any BD.

What player are you using, you might need a firmware update.

I have the movie and can't recall any problem with it.

I don't recall the specifics of the menu, but I haven't had any trouble playing it on my PS3.

No problems here as well, either the person has issues with the setting or something along those lines.

Im using Sony BD-301

I have the latest firmware. Im pretty good about keeping up with them.

Ill rent or buy it and hope for the best. Maybe it was a setting or old firmware which gave the problems before. I just didnt see any icons to Play , Audio options etc. Am I supposed to see those or are they hidden?

Thanks friends

No hidden ones but usually if it's a firmware issue, they just don't show up and you get part of the menu graphics. That or it loads forever.

I just loaded it. When the spinning cube comes up, there should be five options on the left of the screen.

One is for set up and one is for initiate feature. If you are not getting that you have a problem with your player or the disc was faulty.

Funny but I just watched this last night and had same
problem. Have a Samsung bdp4600 and ps3 upstairs
and had same problem on both. I ended up
just using scene selection on menu and starting at credits.
Bought movie on Saturday and it was brand new. Maybe
something on newer discs that caused it. Had one movie screw up
on bdp4600 but never on ps3. I think it's disc

there is an open question for all

there are some differents BD disks versions about i robot ?

Could you csyoung please can say the UPC or SKU of the disk, or give us a screen shoot about the disk, i thinking because maybe its possible that you have another new one disk, who knows, well sorry this is a speculation, without proof.

Regards.

A.

Upc is 024543509875. I would think however upc's would be same regardless of how old it it since there is only one version. Probably just isolated incident, whether its disc or player. I have had discs not load due to firmware updates but never not been able to find "play" on menu.

Do you have initiate feature on your menu? Mine doesn't have play, but when you click on initiate feature it takes me to the movie.

A.
