Default World's Oldest Man Dies (age 113)

Quote:
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Henry Allingham, the world's oldest man and the oldest surviving British veteran from World War I, has died at the age of 113, his care home said Saturday. He was a founding member of the modern Royal Air Force.

Allingham died in his sleep at St. Dunstan's care home in Ovingdean, England, the home said in a statement. Born on June 6, 1896, Allingham was active until his final days, having celebrated his 113th birthday last month on the HMS President with his family, the care home said.

The Guinness Book of World Records Certified Allingham as the world's oldest man last month, St. Dunstan's said.
So awesome that someone lived from the 1800s until the 2000s....I wonder who the next oldest is...

No one deserves to live forever; nothing deserves to live forever, because that's just the way it is. Everything has a ticking time bomb on top of them, and death is just inevitable.

BTW, I always thought that the record holder was another Japanese man. Interesting to see that he's English. R.I.P.

How dare you contradict me ? I can't believe that !!!
I deserve to live forever but nobody else does, furthermore I deserve to have the means to destroy the human race, I just can't cause it's not that easy but I should be able to do that !

And now the oldest human being is an African American woman aged 115 according to the news.

Especially if you live in a depression not to be able to enjoy the thrills of life. It is better to live 40-70 living all the wonders of life than live 60-110 living in a box.

No one deserves to live forever, but I, too, would drink elixir from the Fountain of Youth to gain eternity. However, what would happen to your loved ones as they pass away whereas you continue? Exactly.

Totally... plus, why live so long when you pretty much witness each and every one of your friend and family dies?

Unless you are this guy, Freddie Gage. http://arts.guardian.co.uk/pictures/...055279,00.html

I don't have any loved ones, nobody ever loved me and nobody ever will. Problem solved for me !
Now I demand that you tell me where that fountain of youth is located, forthwith !

Um, Internet?

And don't you have a girlfriend? Oh, right. You're lonely.

RIP.

Sometimes these long-living humans can be controversial. Accurate records may not have been kept around the time of their birth, and it's hard to determine how old they really say they are.

I think the record of his birth will have been fairly accurate... the Victorians were pretty hot on that kind of thing. We were not a third world country then!!!

What perilous activity could he have possibly been participating in while sleeping to cause his demise???? You think the article would tell you, so others could avoid such dangerous situations
