Where's Apollo 13? - Blu-ray Forum

It was released on HD-DVD....anyone else want this to come out on Blu-ray?

I would definitely like to see this in HD! I've toyed with getting an HD DVD player just for this and October Sky.

On its way to the moon...

Universal missed an opportunity with this one. Monday was the 40th anniv. of the Apollo 11 mission, so an Apollo 13 release would have sold a few extra copies than since they waited.

Universal has been going back and re-doing the masters on many of the hd-dvd movies as well as upping the audio to dts-hd ma. More than likely they are still working on this title and that is why we haven't seen it yet.

Pretty darn good movie that I'd probably pick up the day it gets released, even with the technical error of Tom Hanks being too tall to be an astronaut

It's a decent looking HD-DVD(provided you don't mind grain), so I'd love to have it on Blu-ray with DTS HD-MA.

The Eagles "Farewell 1 Tour - Live From Melbourne" is enough reason to get an HD-DVD player.

I was alo surprised Universal didn't jump on the 40th aniversary moon landing and release this

Perhaps they are waiting to time it when ron howard releases his next movie and starts getting oscar buzz?

maybe the slogan could read "Apollo 13 - The movie that should have won the academy award for best picture"

Edit - thats not a knock at braveheart because i also love that film, i just think apollo 13 deserved the statue alot more
