Default 3D movies and front projection

Hi guys just wondering if anyone could answer the problem I'm facing. Awhile ago I watched journey to the center of the earth in 3D and it was horrible. Don't know if it's because of my projector, but there were no colors. Everything seemed reddish, blue and I remember seeing blue or red outlines around every object. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my projector. Non 3D movies looks absolutely stunning though.

Normal with home 3D viewing.

The best advice is to eek: uncalibrate and boost your brightness and contrast for movies w/ the colored glasses.

With Avatar soon to be released in theatres, this is definitely a question I have as well. Having a front projection theatre in my home too, I have come to expect movies to be pretty near to perfection.

My projector is only 7 months old - so I don't really want to have to buy a new projector that supports 3D. Do they even make those? I can't imagine what they would cost.

Brain would know, if they do make 3D projectors...

Yup, they do.

DPI's Titan 1080P 3D series is currently available. Their top of the line Titan 1080P Dual 3D Ultra is shipping for a cool 85 large.

I'm sure more are coming down the pipe at better prices for mere mortals...

Right now, the majority of content available seems to be 3D games, but I'm sure more purpose-created cinematic 3D content will be on its way soon.

i have been thinking about 3D. considering a panny 3000.

as 3D in the home is not even close to common. do they offer regular versions of these movies ?
if not, seems to me they would be stabbing themselves in the foot, as far as buying/renting goes.

these 3D movies. are they all animated ?

No Journey To The Center of The Earth and My Bloody Valentine are not animated.
