hey everyone, I've been wondering if any news has come for a CAN/US release of this on blu. I have the US dvd boxset and see that there is actually a blu version but its hong kong version

Hong Kong version is region free and will play in the US.

Abslutely, postively, get the Hong Kong version, it has far better English subittles than the Weinstein/Miramax releases. In fact, the US subtitles for Infernal Affairs are not only dumbed down but in many scenes they are poorly translated.

Weinstein Company owns the rights but the division that handles Asian cinema for them has not released any Blu-ray Discs and their DVD releases are more miss than hit.

Another recommendation for the Hong Kong blu-rays. No reason to wait on these.

I think I am going to go ahead and blind buy this boxed set, though I wish they would release it domestically with the english dub (because most of my friends won't give the movie a chance if it's not in English).

So, the eleven or so Dragon Dynasty blu-rays that have come out so far were just a dream I had?

I can see DD eventually releasing the Infernal Affairs trilogy on blu-ray at some point... when, I don't know.

That post was from a year ago, before the Dragon Dynasty brand began releasing movies.

I found the first one on Amazon for $6 a couple weeks ago. The two sequels are not very good IMHO.

From what I can see, the prices are pretty high now where it is available.
