forum "ranks"? - Blu-ray Forum

Okay this is going to be kind of a weird question. I noticed that people have "ranks" (I'll call them ranks because i don't know what else to call them at the moment) right under their usernames. I noticed mine went from New Member to something else to just Member now. Seriously is there like a ranking system or something else.

I know it's an odd question.

200-400: Senior Member
400-600: Power Member
600-1000: Expert Member
1000-2000: Special Member
2000-5000: Blu-ray Guru
5000+: Blu-ray Champion

It's based on Post Count.

I honestly think member titles based on post count mean about as much as that person's post count. Take that for what it's worth.

Yeah! Post count doesn't mean a thing. It's what you contribute that matters and what gains you respect in the community. I personally am still looking for that, but I keep trying!

You forgot at 10,000 post you become a Blu-ray King and the next status is Jedi but i dont know how many post you need for that maybe 15,000 or 20,000 not sure thou

i don't think jedi is around anymore.

I wasn't sure, since the intro of CHAMPION, what the post count for KING and JEDI were, so I didn't bother. But thanks, now I know!

it won't always be that way. i figure if people post enough to make it here, they know better than to put a title up that shouldn't be there.

They must have changed the rankings.I was a Power Member before I reached 600 posts.
Now that I passed 600 posts I am still only Listed as a Power Member.So I dont know what it takes to be an Expert Member...
