V - The new TV series coming to ABC

First time I hear about it today (probably behind the times, seems the first elements filtered out in may) ... and apparently presented further (it was supposedly hinted at months aggo) at Comic Con 2009. Supposedly for the 2010 season, but now rumors of end of 2009 surfacing.

My first gut reaction was: Is there even a need to redo the mini series of V? (granted the tv show was horrid)
I was sooo rooting for a continuation by Kenneth Johnson, with at least a part of the old cast (M. Ironside & Marc Singer in particular).

Now, after having seen the trailer, I'm willing to give it a chance, although I'm going to miss the original music immensely, I have the feeling:
