Default Red October Jul 28 - What's New?

I already have a BD copy of The Hunt for Red October I got a few months ago. Why is it being listed as a new release for July 28, 2009? What's new? I'm pretty sure the copy I've got has the lossless audio and I know that the video was already a huge improvement over the DVD (the nighttime shot on the river is the dead giveaway).

Movie Cash for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is now being included. That's it, no more, no less.

I just viewed this screenshot and look at the blue light! Shouldn’t it be just blue! Blue cover glass or plastic what ever! Then the white bulb behind it! If you looked at the 35/70mm print it would be just a soft pure blue!

There is green smearing due to improper light balance or some total idiot has ruined it with tweaking the colour and turned it to carp!

That is not how I saw it in the cinema.

I’m going to check the first edition region 2 DVD and see if that was the same messed up version as this as they, often recycle them for Bluray, without doing sod all to them.

Yeah it’s the same rubbish colour balance on the region 2 DVD first edition. SIGH It’s when they start mucking around the colour balance controls it imprints this on the duplication transfer and it can’t be undone on our end.

You can reduce saturation and it will still have an over sized white blob around where blue lights are. SIGH

Just another waste of Bluray! Paramount Pictures needs to get its act together!

They produced a flawless ‘Star Trek’ 2009 which could have had same issues of green smearing! It was perfect colour balance nothing to do with how old the film is. Its down to (lousy so called they know how to do it engineers, that shouldn’t even be near a telecine)!

I think they should re-release and we can hand in our dreadful copies and get it for free! After all we already paid for it once a lousy once off copy! Now then!
