Blu-ray That don't have the Special Features we need?

When I buy a movie or a show. I expect it to have the same amount as features as the SD does, unless it is a HD Feature only on blu-ray but from a lot of the movies I have been buying here are three examples:

Independence Day - The movie is great. It looks great on blu-ray but all I get are trailers? Come on! I remember the special edition that got out of print but it had behind the scenes, also the theatrical and special edition versions of the movie

Stir of Echoes - I remember the DVD had a music video and some other stuff. I think cast bio. Why isn't it on the Blu-Ray?

Cast Away - I remember the DVD having a making of feature and other stuff. Why do all i get is trailers??

Why can't studios release the blu-rays with all the special features. They can fit room on them with 50GB extra space?

Makes me wonder if I should double dip just to get the features.
