Default Newbie Playback Problem

Hi All,

Wasn't sure if this is the proper forum for this, but since I'm new to Blu-Ray and didn't see another section for tech support, thought I woukld try this here:

I'm using a Samsung UN55B7100 TV and Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-Ray Player. While I love the TV, the playback on the Blu-Ray player makes me nauseous. It's hard to describe...not "jerky" but it's more like every scene seems to be shot with a handheld camera. The picture moves around a lot even in scenes where there's no movement of the characters.

I turned off the 120 Hz feature on the TV itself and tried a few settings on the Blu-Ray player itself but no luck. I tested it with HD content from DirecTV...no problems at all. Seems to be an issue with non-Blu-Ray DVDs as well.

Anyone have advice on what I can try?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have a regular DVD player on hand? If so, play a DVD through there and see if the same happens. If it does, then it's the TV. If not, then it's the BDP-1600. Process of elimination is a good way to start off.

Make sure all of your cables are seated properly and that your settings are bang on. Then do the comparison.
