Canada Is it just me or do we Canadians always pay more???

It's not fair. Whether its equipment or movies we Canadians always get screwed. As for movies I actually pay less ordering them from Amazon UK or US than I would pay ordering from Amazon Canada. Case in point:
The Hunt for Red October $25.99 BB Canada or 14.49 Amazon US

As for an equipment example the H/K 254 AVR sells for $799 at the local futureshop but can be had for $358 from Amazon US !!!!

What gives ???!!!!

This is not always the case, my friend. Outlander is more expensive on the Amazon.com site than the Amazon.ca site, as is a few number of other titles.

Sorry walmat, but that's one example. You're obviously not looking around for deals. I have no complaints about the deals I can get in Canada. I still buy outside the country on occasion, but there are deals right here at home my good man!

Unfortunately it seems that only the items I want are always price inflated.
This isn't a slam about living in Canada by the way. I'm proud to be a Canadian I just don't like being gouged for it.

I am *****ing but yes there are many others that get gouged much worse. I just think it's odd why we get inflated prices when we're so close to the US especially where I am in Southern Ontario.
It's no wonder that cross border shopping is so popular.

Columbia House Canada has great deals for Blu-rays and you can get 6 for $1.49 each when you sign up. I don't think the American Columbia House has that. Other than that yes, we generally get hosed on prices.

I'm with you brother lol... I also live near Toronto and everything from movies to home theatre equipment is more expensive here. Amazon.ca sucks so bad, Blockbuster has new blus at $39.99! All new Ps3 games are $69.99, and don't get me started on A/V equipment! Just gotta hunt for the deals I guess... or yah head to Buffalo!

That's a great suggestion if you are someone who is starting to buy blus but I find their selection limited for someone who already owns a few.

+1

With a privatized healthcare system you would pay less for your goods.
