Default Audio problems with Panasonic BD30

I have A Panasonic DMP-BD30 connected to A LG 42LB5D television.
When I watch both DVD's and Blu-Ray's the sound will constantly mute itself sometimes as often as every 5 minutes. The only way to get the sound back is to turn the volume up or down on the TV.
The player has been updated to the latest firmware. I have also tries at least 5 different HDMI cables. I have tried 3 different Monster Cables 2 different cables from MonoPrice and a Sony HDMI cable and this constant muting is the least of the problems I have. When I try to use some of the cables the picture will constantly flash and the TV will make a lot of nasty sounding static.
I have tried every setting on the Blu-Ray player I can think of and every setting on the TV that I can think of and nothing helps.
I havce had this combination for about a year and it worked fine until about 2 or 3 months ago.
I'm about ready to seel all my Blu_Rays and go back to buying DVD's if I can't find an answer. I can't afford to buy another TV and I refuse to buy another Blu-Ray player.
