Default HD fireplace or similar "screensaver" files

Any free links to nice fireplace, fishtank, or similar type files available. Need to be IR safe obviously, and HD prefered. Put to SD card for the G10.

Very nice. Look like just what I am looking for. However I have tried to download several times today, the fish, and several smaller trailers for test purposes. All of my files will not unzip. BitZipper says that the files have been damaged during download.
Any ideas.
Steve

I downloaded some and used winrar to unzip, but they are m2ts files. Can these be put on an sd card and played on the Panasonics?

Nevermind. I tried it. The tv does not recognize this annoying Sony file. It has to be converted to a format that the rest of the world uses. This is why I hate Sony. Special files...special memory. Sony and Apple can go die on an island.

/rant.

I'm working on finding a converter. More later.

Ok, converter will take somewhere in the neighborhood of three or five or 10 hours.

So...not to repost the original question, but does anyone know of a source for this kind of thing,

And while we're at it, does anyone know what kind of HD video formats are supported on the SD card portion of the Panasonic tvs? The manual just says AVCHD and mpeg2. I didn't think mpeg2 was hd...but I know very little about this stuff.

I just used WinRAR.
http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR/3000...-10007677.html

Unzipped them and then loaded the "m2ts" files onto a flash drive. Plugged it into the USB port on my Kuro and it worked fine from there.

I am no expert on this stuff so I am not much help with these various file types and what other models they might work with.

Good Luck!

Yeah, doesn't work with the Pannys.

Do you know of any other sites? Maybe someone else uses different file types...

Sorry, that's the only one I am aware of.

Agree that it's stupid to use a file format that is less than common.

I wish people would learn the facts before they post stuff like this. m2ts is used by Sony, Cannon, Pana and a few other brands in HD camcorders.

From Wiki - The .m2ts is a container file format for multiplexing audio, video and other streams. It is based on the MPEG transport stream container and is also known as BDAV MPEG-2 transport stream.[2][3][4] This format is commonly used for high definition video on Blu-ray Disc and AVCHD.

M2TS format from Sony is not necessarily the same as that of Panasonic or Canon camcorders. However, programs like Sony Vegas Pro and AVS Video Editor can open and edit both Sony M2TS files as well as Panasonic M2TS files. (Sony Vegas Pro v.9 is also capable of reading and editing M2TS files produced by Canon Vixia Camcorders.) The only other piece of software known to handle both types is currently Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate.
M2TS files can also be played on Sony PlayStation 3s, Sony Bravia TVs, Western Digital WDTVs, and Panasonic Viera TVs supporting playback of AVCHD.

Therefore if you want to take all developers of proprietary formats to an island to die you had better take Pana with them too.... RAM discs *cough*, and pretty much every other large electronics manufacturer because they all do it.
If noone ever developed new file formats and ways of doing thing we would all still be watching SD television and using VCRs. Change is a thing to be embraced.

Thats my rant!! Done.
