Default Lightning strike

I lost my PS3 and Directv box this past Saturday by a direct lightning strike. I live in a townhouse and my neighbor got hit (blew her ceiling out in the room the other side of the wall from my home theater). I lost almost everything that was plugged into that wall on all 4 levels of my place.

I also lost my Denon 2307. Everything was plugged into my Monster HTS 3600 MKII. A surge protector will not protect against a direct lightning hit.

Surprisingly, the TV is ok. I verified that my PS3 will not output video via HDMI by hooking it to my parents system. I took their blu-ray player and verified that my TV is accepting video via HDMI.

The Denon will power on but immediately goes into protect mode.

Time to order upgrades
