Default Movies You Hate Because of the Fans

Or dislike. Or even like, but just a little less due to the fans. Na'mean?

Fight Club - It's almost embarrasing to be a fan of Fight Club when you see who the majority of the fans are. Whenever it comes up that I'm a fan of the film, I feel like I have to add "but I'm not an idiot" to the end.

------------------------------------------

The Dark Knight - The best Batman movie? Arguably. The second coming of my main man JC? No. Here's from some TDK forum after they found out that it was "snubbed" at the Oscars:

This is an absolute travesty!

Can’t believe that Titanic which isn’t then or now Oscar worthy gets 13 Noms, and TDK which is a better film gets the shit box [i.e. 8 noms].

It’s ridiculous how ignorant the Academy is of the public’s opinion. [It should be based on Box Office performance damnit!]

I thank you here at DarkCampaign for your hard work, valor, courage, and relentless effort. For without you we might not have been able to obtain the 8 noms the academy did grant us.

[Directed at The Reader getting nominated] **** the holocaust, not only was it a scourge of human evil, but a scourge of cinematic appreciatory evil as well... Stop Oscar Elitism!

You never know with this funny academy! [That crazy Academy! Oh you...]

This is it, then. The last speck of respectability that the Academy had is gone. It lost a lot in my book last year giving the top prize to ‘No Country for Sensible Endings’ over ‘There Will Be Blood’ or ‘Atonement’, but this is the final straw!... Christopher Nolan will have his day, and when he does, I’ll cheer and jump with joy for him. For now, let us continue our protests and demand JUSTICE!!! [My favorite. What a complete lack of understanding. Not since "haha, you think that's a Schwinn..."]

Bullshit. A travesty. A crime against forward-thinking movie lovers around the world. [Not talking about the website]

I don't allow fanboys to influence my liking or disliking a movie. Almost every series has fanboys and I hate fanboys but if a film is good then nothing can change that.

I wasn't saying my list was final and no other entries would be allowed, but Star Wars is an especially good example, although I don't think any of the movies are that great anyway.

The only time fans annoy me is when they clap. It really bugs me when people clap at the beginning, ending, or during a movie. It usually happens with movies like LOTR, X-Men, Star Trek etc. and it's irritating.

Other than that, yeah I can totally understand the Fight Club thing. There's a lot of jackasses out there that think it's just a cool fighting movie, and they don't really understand it or appreciate it for what it is.

But like TDK, I wouldn't let that bother me. There are fans that think it's the most amazing thing ever, which it itsn't, but I don't even think about it. I just watch movies for what they are

I've only seen ten minutes of Twilight, but I hate it because of the screaming fangirls who climax everytime they see Edward Pattinson do a wooden impersonation of a vampire. And the fact that those ten minutes were cheesy, over-dramatic and poorly-performed . . .

I love The Dark Knight and consider it one of my favourite films, but when fans are totally ignorant of its flaws and bash Burton's films, then I get frustrated.

None, if I do not like a movie I just do not like it it has nothing to do with the people who go nuts for it. As a matter of fact I like to go to see franchise movies on opening night with all the hard core fans. I love the clapping and the excitement they radiate. Its infectious and more often than not makes the movie experience more fun.

Napoleon Dynamite was huge and had an incredible following...I just sat there going HUH? the entire time. Just didn't get it at all. Have to agree with Twilight also. I maybe would have seen it but with all the hype no thanks.

Passion of the Christ.

I like this film but do not like being labelled as a religious nut job because of it.

What's worse is seeing the movie and NOT having an religious background and being told that you wont understand it because you dont follow that religion.

The first three movies of Star Wars (ala Harrison Ford era) were pretty good flicks. The new three (ala Samuel Jackson) are just bad. I'm sorry, but you had to be deaf, dumb and blind NOT to see how awful the acting and dialogue were in those new ones. I've met some people who will say, to the end, that those were great movies, let alone great SW movies. Morons. I would also add any movie with Martin Lawrence. How people enjoy any of his movies are beyond me.

I actually enjoyed Twilight the first time I watched it but its luster wore off after subsequent veiwings and now the fans including my wife are just making me wanna puke when hearing twilight. They all *** alittle when either of the 2 dudes are shown and it's ridiculous. Sure all of us think megan fox is so hot and want to bang her but when they show her on tv or movie clips or at the theater you don't hear guys start screaming and acting outta control and whackin it.

First and only thought.

ALL forums are OPINIONATED BASED. You post stuff to either justify your opinion or stir shyt up. It really is that basic.

If this was a Godel, Escher, Bach site we might have some more facts.
Not a hater and love all of your stuff here. But some seem to confuse fact with opinion. Flame on

I'd have to say Twilight has the most irritating fanbase of all.

I remember when The Simpsons Movie came out, there were a group of guys who were hardcore fans sitting in front of me, and had obnoxious comments throughout the movie. But for some reason, it fit that movie and didn't get to me... partly because I agreed with everything they pointed out or applauded, and partly because I feel that the movie wouldn't have even been made if it weren't for the fans
