G.I. Joe should have it then as well.

I wonder if WB is going to be the only TrueHD studio left. Sony appears to be shifting to DTS HD. There's no one left.

I feel bad for those who only have players that can decode TrueHD. They're going to get screwed over even more now.

So then it could sound exactly the same as what Dolby TrueHD would've been!

No, its not.

The first Paramount film to have DTS-HD MA is Top Gun, followed by Shine A Light.

Shine A Light is also the first Paramount BD to have all three lossless codecs: DTS-HD MA 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 5.1, and PCM 2.0.

Warner used DTS-HD MA for Watchmen.

Excellent. Soon all Blu-Ray's will feature DTS-HD and the pitiful rebels, TrueHD, will be destroyed!

There is no difference; they are both lossless. But studios are beginning to think it is better to standardize one type of HD audio, just as they did with the format war. Think of it as an HD Audio war.

As long as others get to post how they're pro-dts, I'll keep on posting my thoughts. Seems fair to me.

So this is what will happen: all studios will switch to DTS-HDMA and then when Lucas finally releases Star Wars it will have TRUEHD and people are gonna throw a hissy fit and say they aren't buying since it doesn't have real lossless audio.
Same goes for Indiana Jones trilogy.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened, although I really don't have a preference for either LOSSLESS audio format.

Me neither. It all depends on the actual track of the movie, not the lossless audio format chosen. There are amazing audio tracks with PCM, TRUEHD, and DTS-HDMA.

Let's see:
Star Trek 2009: TrueHD 5.1
Gladiator: DTS-HD MA 5.1
Braveheart: TrueHD 5.1

Sounds more like they haven't made up their mind one way or another.

There's nothing to make up there minds about. All 3 are basically the same, so they might as well pick one out of a hat for all that matters.

I know that Dolby True HD and DTS-MA are supposed to sound exactly the same but I prefer DTS-MA I found it to be a far superior track on Top Gun.
