I have a problem with Pirates Black Pearl... - Blu-ray Forum

I am not sure if it is a disc issue or a hardware issue. During the last chapter of Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl, there is a delay/hesitation in the movie as if it were changing layers. I tried it three times and it happens at the same exact place. The player is a BDP1200 with the latest firmware. Has anyone else had this problem? I am wondering if I should take the disc back or if there is a problem with the player.

Any help appreciated

Hmm.

Can't say I noticed it myself on my PS3. But, well that's a different player.

i dont know. ive been watching the movie on and off now for a month and still havent finished it. "yeah i know maybe 10 min here, 5 min there" lol. but its on my ps3 so i havent seen anything messy like your problem

I would take the movie to your friends house and try it again. If it works perfect on his player / PS3, you´ll know wehre the problem is...

I have that player and the firmware and mine works fine. Take the movie back

Only problem I've had with this movie after 5 viewings is the terrible wait for the movie to load and play. Other than that, great picture.

hmm, are you using the ps3?? i never have any slow loading times with my

I have a bit of slow loading with my PS3, with both Pirates titles actually.

It has the rotating coin/dead man's key during the load segments though.

I haven't timed the load time but I suppose in could be like a minute and half. I had to get a firmware upgrade before it worked at all. Sony BDP-S1.
