Vienna Acoustics center with deftech Mythos Five

I have been listening to center speakers for the past few days. The Vienna center is by far and away the best.......(very clear dialog)......from all I have heard.
I have only about 5 inches on both sides of the 42" monitor......(a door way on one side and a wall on the other)......(no other options short of moving).......I like the bright sound of the Mythos.......(I know the "rule" of a matched set up)...........but this combo sounded great. I listened to it for about 20 minutes. I want to go back with some of my disks and re c=heck it out. The only 2 deftech centers they had just sounded poorly. Not even close to the crisp dialog of the Vienna's.

Last time I put a 5.1 together was about 7yrs age. We had 4 large retailer with good displays. I have been to 3 best buys.......(only ones in the area) and 1/2 of the speakers were not hooked up and no one knew how it get them going. Sorry for the rant........

I'm considering getting into a mismatched front sound stage as well. And in doing that, I've talked to people who have the center speaker I'm looking into, and surprisingly enough all of them also have mismatched fronts. Result? They all love it, and say it blends in with the rest of their system.

Everyone's results will vary due to the room, speakers, placement, etc, etc. I'd say go for it, but my knowledge of the subject is limited to what I own, and the research I have done in finding out if a better center channel trumps a matching front sound stage.
