Default Greed Corp combines Civilization and Settlers of Catan

Developer: W!Games
Platform: PlayStation Network
Publisher: W!Games
Release: Late September 2009

Introduction

W!Games is proud to officially announce Greed Corp, a fresh and innovative turn-based
strategy game for PlayStation Network. It will be the first in a series of games situated in
a rich, fictional world inspired by the industrial revolutions and their destructive effects
on the environment.

Find the delicate balance between harvesting the land for resources and preserving it to
stay alive. Will you defend your territory or sacrifice it to keep it out of enemy hands?
Manage the finite available resources to build your army and use the collapsing terrain to
your advantage. Destroy your enemies, or destroy the very land they stand on, before
they do it to you.

Build harvesters to turn the layers of hexagonal tiles into credits and spend them on
armories and cannons. Then produce walkers to conquer other tiles and order carriers to
transport your troops across the map. Defeat your enemies by eliminating their troops
and destroying or capturing their buildings.

Features
  • Innovative land collapsing mechanic, creating intense strategic battles
  • Earn Trophies and titles, playing as one of four factions in bite-sized matches of around 20 minutes
  • 10+ hours single player campaign consisting of a tutorial and 24 unique maps
  • Friendly and ranked 2, 3, and 4-player battles spread across 36 unlockable maps, supporting optional voice chat
  • Further customize matches with any combination of local, online, and computer players (three difficulty levels)

Greed Corp should be making an apperance at next week's GamesCom judging by its recent USK rating.

The tile structure reminds me of Age of Booty

That doesn't look turn-based to me.

If matches are 20 minutes long, I'd hazard a guess and say it's real time strategy, at least in multiplayer mode.

Looks neat, but I don't see this as matching the depth and re-playability of Civ Rev.

WTB demo.

Here is a trailer for the game: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/12/gr...rategy-to-psn/

Looks like it could be a lot of fun. I love the quality of the PSN releases . They just seem better than XBLA
