Default Hendrix at Monterey question

I noticed there are three Monterey blu-ray collections with Jimi Hendrix. They are Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey, Jimi Plays Monterey & Shake! Otis At Monterey and the complete Monterey Pop Criterion Collection. Aren't these all the same concert?

I plan on picking up the complete Monterey Pop collection. I'm pretty sure it won't have the complete concert with Jimi. I'm trying to figure out why there is a Hendrix live at Monterey and the live one with Otis.

Does anyone know if it's just the extras that are different? Is one transfer supposed to be better than the other? Why so many releases?

I have Jimi @ Monterey, and Jimi/Shake! Otis @ Monterey...both on SD, not Blu. However, between the two, the main differences are the extras. Though some I believe overlap. The EH version expanded the extras with more interviews, Also, it seems the Experience Hendrix release has some different editing. Notably, when Jimi refers to Noel as Bob Dylan's "grandma"...the Criterion release cuts to a shot of Noel, which is how I always remembered it. The EH version, cuts out the shot of Noel. Why? Also, I enjoyed the PQ on the CC version. The EH version seems a little oversaturated for my tastes. I wasn't aware of the CC version being on Blu? Plus with that, you get to see the great Otis Redding. Hard to beat Jimi & Otis on the same disc. Hope this helped a little?

Thanks for the response.

Looks like the Complete Monterey will have all of JIMI PLAYS MONTEREY/ SHAKE! OTIS AT MONTEREY. So I guess this is the only version I need.
