Gone with the Wind (DVD) HARD TO FIND? - Blu-ray Forum

I recently wanted to watch Gone with the Wind for the 1st time. I go to Hollywood Video, and they don't have it. I look on Netflix, they don't have it. I look on Amazon to maybe buy it for cheap, and the cheapest I can find was $26!

Is the company that owns the rights very protective of their baby?

I don't know for sure, but they may have pulled them to force people to wait and to try and get more purchases for the upcoming 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition on DVD and Blu-Ray. But I really don't know...there are a few other old movies that I have tried to find, but are no longer available on DVD or Netflix.

There are not protective. There is a new 70th anniversary edition coming at the end of this year so supplies for the four disc and two disc sets were not replenished for retailers.
