Default Blair Witch Project 3 maybe Possible.

Hey,

Not a big fan of the Blair Witch Project, maybe with Just the 1st when it came out in theaters, but some of you may want to know about a possible 3rd one maybe coming soon.

Quote:
It’s a couple of weeks over ten years now since The Blair Witch Project proved to be a strange freak of box office nature. Back at it’s release on July 30th 1999 the film was given a crazy leg-up by its accidentally wonderful online marketing and a public desperate to buy into something spiritual-mystical, however crazy. We also shouldn’t underestimate the voracious appetite of the dedicated horror audience, of which I would suppose I am a member, and our never-ending desire for something new, fresh or exciting.

To be honest I have to hand it the original Blair Witch Project, Their Marketing Campaign was Brilliant.

Yep. Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229260/ After how bad the second one was I really see no need for a 3rd.

I liked the first but thought the second was horrible. I wouldn't be against a third, but the ideas discussed in the link don't get me too excited. A prequel could be good.

Wow, it must have sucked pretty hard for me to have not even heard of it

I've never even seen the first, just didn't look interesting to me.

yeah, but it wasn't worth it. it was just crap. but that is my opinion, you may like it. Its completely different than the original style wise, cinematography for the first made it seem to be a documentary based on real events. the 2nd was just texas chainsaw massacre style movie. However, Texas Chainsaw massacre was better.

Never saw the second and I'm not sure I want to. I'm quite fond of the first one and I don't want to sour it.

I've only come across TWO people in my entire life that (like me) enjoyed the second one.

I despised the first one, just because I've never been a fan of the "Shaky Cam" type of films.

I actually dug the second one though. Jeffrey Donovan was in it (pre-Burn Notice, of course)

You can add me to your list... I liked it for what it was, a different take on the movie... and kind of liked the "supernatural" changes to things in the background that were in the film... you catch them after a few viewings.

Wow... never noticed that was Mr. Donnovan was in BW2... I'm going to have to watch that again this weekend.

Don't forget that 2nd movie was different than the 1st. that maybe why some people didn't like it.

Yeah pt one was one of the best movies i have ever seen. yeah i said it. overall it lands around 17-20 of my all time favorites. I believe this is a movie where if you allow your self to be "in" the movie it will freak you the f**k out!

Pt 2 i really have to watch it again. I didnt care for it but that was along time ago. Man i might rent this friday. ughhh dvd

Pt 3 is going to be a mistake. just living off the title

They've been talking about this for years. The original creators have always wanted to make another to erase the memory of the horrible sequel, but have yet to make a move on it.

After how much I disliked Cloverfield, I don't think I would enjoy this, will wait and see on reviews and word of mouth and its trailer.

I agree with you. I knew a lot of people who liked the 1st one but never gave it a chance until after I saw the 2nd one. I enjoyed the 2nd one so decided to give the 1st a try. Wish I hadn't. Kept fast fowarding watch a few seconds and realise how dumb it all was then just skipped to the end. The whole movie was retarded and I'm glad I didn't sit thru the whole thing.

This may sound like a stupid question but does the first one have a good surround track on DVD? I always liked the first movie and if it came to blu ray with a solid lossless track I think certain parts could be really awesome. Like when they are in the tent and start hearing crazy stuff coming from the woods. Like a previous person said.. if you let yourself get into the first movie it really is a scary film.
Any word on if its coming to blu ray?

BD version of the first one, I have no idea about it. Eventually, I think it will be out there. Especially after talks of a possible third one.

DVD track, I thought was pretty cool.
