Default Kill Bill problem

Hey guys, I'm new around here, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post an issue.

Anyway, I recently bought Kill Bill vol 1, and for whatever reason it doesn't load whenever I try to play it on my LG blu-ray/home theater in a box (LH-something). I can eventually get it to play after mashing the skip and menu buttons, but it's really frustrating. On the other hand, it works perfectly on my PS3.

Is it my player, or the blu-ray itself?

If you are eventually able to get it to play, it's very likely to be your player, which probably just takes a little time to load . I only own a PS3 so I can't check for you, but I'm sure if someone else has encountered a similar situation they'll come in here to help you out. Do you have/did you try both Kill Bill 1 and 2?

I have both, and I've tried both, the first being the only one to give me any problems. The load screen does eventually come up, but on my PS3 the load screen shows up instantly. I hope it isn't my player, otherwise I guess I'll have to wait for a update to fix my problem.

I think this may be just an example of how different players can handle a movie. If the load screen does come up--as you say it does--and the movie plays fine, I don't think you have anything to be worried about Just my theory; hopefully more people will say the same or provide other possible solutions for you.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but your LG may need a firmware update. Check their website, or call them and let them know there is a problem. The bad news is from what I know of LG, that they are slow on the firmware updates.

The PS3 loads BR's faster than standalones because they have a lot more under the hood than standalone BR players do. A lot more. The differences can be staggering. Ratatouille takes 3-4 minutes on some players, but loads up instantly on PS3.. just as an example.
