Suncoast is still around? I'll be first in line to get this on DVD...not. Surprised it's coming so soon though.

October 20 appears to be a "good" date since it falls on a Tuesday. Gives the Blu plenty of time to get some coin.

Yes, but many of them have closed over the past few years.

Cant wait for this one, day one blu for me. It seems a lil early, but it is about the same time frame that the first one came out on dvd/hd-dvd.

If they have the same prices they did back when the store was open here, not that surprising at all. These stores pretty much take MSRP at face value and rarely mark merchandise under it.

There are only about 40 Suncoast Video stores still operating in the United States.

I would like the last cover the most if the humans weren't on it, hoping the second one will be the one we get over here!

The last store in Massachusetts is long gone. From what I remember, though, their prices were terrible. Almost always MSRP on everything.

My Paramount rep came in the other day and said it was going to be released on Oct 20th. No offical release date has been put out though. When I asked "wouldn't it make more sense to put out Star Trek, that did over 100 mill less in boxoffice rev, early?". The answer was they think the more time it has to be out in the market, the more time it has to sale. I still think they should be switched but they are the professionals.

What I couldn't believe is she said they were planning on streeting Shutter Island at the end of Dec........which just seems crazy considering it's coming to theaters 1st week of Oct.
