Borderlands - Blu-ray Forum

It's a good mix of FPS (à la Fallout, lots of free roaming - with brutal vehicle combat, you can change color your vehicle), and RPG (your combat skills go up, you find treasures chests), and there are 600000 weapons (depending on damage, aiming, rate of fire, electrical damage ...)
You can play solo or online, and you can choose to keep the levels you gained solo to play online.
So some people like it?

Maybe when gearbox launches the hype machine there will be more hype.

its because there has been nothing new in like 2 years on this game have it pre orderd and there has been no game play vids just a teaser trailer seems realy cool though

Shacknews had a 10 minute gameplay walkthrough from one of the events (E3 maybe). Looked great. Seems a lot like Diablo with over 750,000 guns (yeah, that is confirmed) and a whole planet of open world gameplay. Each gun is procedurally generated based on different companies specifications. Personally I like the name Vladov. Sounds Russian.

Will be a day one buy for me, for sure. Last I heard the release is supposed to be in September.

This is my most anticipated game of this year with Red Faction Guerilla.

dosent it have like 200 endings and a sh** load of guns like over 1000 guns because you can mix and match parts

I'm on the fence on this one. I definitely like the concept, but Rage, the upcoming id game, is somewhat similar in a Road Warrior/sandbox game kind of way. I wasn't too thrilled with the overall polish on Gearbox's last effort, so I'm playing wait and see on this one.

I guess in that regard I'm more excited for Rage, but knowing id it won't release until 2012 or so.

I heard about it a while ago, a site was doing a feature on it & did state how it won't be hyped or advertised like GTAIV & won't be know to most gamers despite all the great elements you mentions above

It truly looks like this will be a HIDDEN gem among many PS3 games due to not being hyped or advertised

I must say, I hated the cell shading stuff. But it seems ok now, just adds some flair.
