Lost Season 3 Slip Box (Cover) - Blu-ray Forum

I have been holding off getting Lost Season 3 due to the lack of the box that Amazon ships with. I have seasons 1,2 & 4 all with the slip covers and would prefer to get season 3 with the box also. I really do not want to pass up the current $39.99 price on Amazon but I know I will not receive the box with it. My question is: Does anyone have any advice on how to source the cover box, or by any chance get Amazon to maybe look for one? Any help would be appreciated.

The box is out of print. I'm fairly certain Amazon doesn't even have one in their warehouses. Best bet is look on ebay and ask the seller if it isn't clear. I got Season 3 with the box for 42.99 shipped about 2 months ago with box. So there are deals to be had.

Best Buy has all 4 seasons of LOST on sale this week for $39.99 and my local store had 4 copies of season 3 on the shelf....all of which had the box cover. I'd check there if you have one close by. Good Luck!

I see them every once and a while. I got mine off Ebay for about $49 about 8 months ago. Back then, the box was hard to find lol. Now it's even harder. I've seen it @ Borders but that's because they probably want too much for it. Try Ebay. I've also seen them @ some Best Buys...you never know. Get the box! It's a great little perk to the season.

Yeah, doesn't make much good sense to lessen the packaging. One would think they would step up the quality on each subsequent release, but like you said.. oh well. I just want that stinking box and the season so i can replace the one set I only have on DVD. The lack of box on Amazon along with B&M prices on the set with the box have deterred me for a while. BTW Blu-Brown how do you like your xbr6? Im in the market for a 52xbr9 and was looking for all the opinions I could get. I was a huge fan of the xbr4 when it came out.

Like BluBrown said, the box doesn't match the other 3 seasons anyway. Its larger and more sturdy than the slipcovers, but looks weird wedged between the others. What we really need is a replacement slipcover that matches seasons 1,2,& 4.

That'd be nice....they should package a season 3 slipcover with season 5 when it releases.

I agree that it looks completely useless next to the other seasons. It would have been cool for all the seasons to have that shell, but I guess they decided cutting costs was more important.

There is a certain BB in my area that is the same way. I've had one too many bad experiences there and won't buy from that store anymore. Only time I visit that store now is occasionally me and a friend will go there after eating at Chipotle next door and just spend an hour or so moving things around on the shelves and putting all sorts of things out of place.
