Do trailers generally show too much?

Here's a funny list, and they're all true.
But the one thing that annoys me most is no. 3, trailers that show too damn much.
do you agree that trailers generally show too much?
Sometimes they do, like Sunshine Cleaning, I saw this movie in July and I recently got to see the trailer for it on my Che Bd and I practically saw it again.
Almost all of the important parts of the movie was shown, almost all the conflicts and such, wth is the point of seeing a movie if you already have been served the whole movie during 2 min?
And feel free to discuss anything that annoys you from trailers.
