Default Pal/ntsc

I am not too clear on the PAL/NTSC deal. I see that for BD there is no issue, but my concern is for regular TV viewing.
I will be moving to Thailand next year and currently living in Okinawa. I have plasma and BDP bought on base so I assume it is the US NTSC. I just got TV hooked up via fiber optic, the local programing plays fine.
I was curious if there may be some issues with my setup in Thai. I'd rather just bring all I have vice buying new.

These days most TV sets are multi-region and accept both PAL and NTSC. Check your instruction manual. I think both Thailand and Japan are blu-ray Reg A. They could be in different regions for DVD. Not sure about the compatibility of HD transmission systems.
