The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Berges-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.

Just another case of an over milked franchise. I guess why not as long as money is being made.

Just watched the trilogy on blu again this past week. I'm up for a fourth, it be a fun franchise and there's plenty of adventures to be had. Arrrgggggg.

They were already plundering 20,000 Leagues with the second film...a "submarine" ship with a giant "squid/octopus" fight as a centerpieice, and a villain motivated by hatred over a broken heart.

But I HIGHLY doubt Disney is going to have a Captain Nemo character in two major event films so close to each other (Pirates 4 and the 20,000 Leagues remake).

Then again, maybe they're watching all the cross-pollinating of the Iron Man/Iron Man 2/Hulk/Avengers franchises and thinking they need to do the same thing, so they're going to have Nemo hoppping from film to film.

Ya never know folks.

Love the character that Depp plays. Sparro is truely unique. But I do feel the franchise is getting weak.
