Hello from New York - Blu-ray Forum

Hi!

I'm a newbie to Blu-ray collecting (only have 7 titles so far - most of them being Disney movies.

) but I absolutely love everything about the format. My current player is a Sony BDP-S350 and being able to watch a movie like Coraline in HD was absolutely amazing. I definitely am convinced I'll never be buying another DVD again.

although I don't agree about not buying DVDs..... Blu-rays certainly do spoil you though, that's for sure!!!!

Never seen Coraline, but it's due to arrive today from Netflix, so I'm looking forward to it (people say it's great)

Welcome! Coraline was good, rather dark for my tastes but good.

Kind of like an animated Pan's Labyrinth.

Not quite. I'm a good 3-4 hours from the city. I live along the coastline of Long Island, down by all the beaches.

Welcome to the forum. Fully agree, HD is amazing - I haven't purchased any DVD movies since I have seen my first blu-ray disk.
