I wouldn't mind knowing as well.

My biggest question is about RGB for HDMI... should it be on FULL? Also what about WHITE for HDMI... never know about that stuff.

I know some other stuff depends on your audio setup... Bitrate will be the new rage for those of you wanting to see 'TRUE HD' on the front of compatible Rx.

I'm going to assume the XMB hasn't changed and all settings will be the same as on the fat PS3's. Most you can leave on Default. I'm just going to list the main ones you want to pay attention to. IGN has a full list floating around out there.

Video Settings
  • DVD Wide Display - Letterbox
  • BD/DVD Video Output Format (HDMI) - Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr*
  • BD 1080p 24Hz Output (HDMI) - Automatic
  • BD/DVD Dynamic Range Control - Off
  • BD/DVD Audio Output Format (HDMI) - Linear PCM**
  • BD Audio Output Format (Optical) - Bitstream

Display Settings
  • Video Output Settings - Choose Your Max Resolution
  • Cross Color Reduction Filter - Off
  • RGB Full Range (HDMI) - Limited*
  • Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super-White (HDMI) - On

* - These settings are based on the user's setup. If you have a monitor capable of accepting a RGB signal, then that would change your settings. Most HDTV's accept a Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr signal. RGB is mostly used with computer monitors. If you don't have a display capable of properly displaying a RGB signal, keep the range set to limited.
** - This too is based on the user's setup. If you prefer to have your receiver do the decoding, switch it to bitstream. If your receiver isn't capable of decoding the newer HD codecs, keep it on Linear PCM.

The Music Settings are up to you as well. The Bitmapping and Dynamic Normalizer usually alter the original audio source so I would suggest to leave them both off.

Here's IGN's video guide.
